about... ~wasting the pain of failure~

~Often we are too slow to learn that what causes the most pain is not the initial loss or hardship but the failure to learn anything in the process~

There is a story of a man who had been passed over for a promotion. he was so upset by the snub that he went to the administrator responsible for the decision and demanded explanation. "How can you ignore my qualifications?" he said. "I have twenty five years of experience!". the administrator's response both candid and penetrating. "No, you don't have twenty five years of experience. you have had one year of experience twenty five times." The man just hadn't learned along the way.

If we really believe, as Romans 8:28 promises, that God is working in and through all things 'for good to those who love God', then one of our greatest challenges is to allow hard, painful, and tear filled experiences to be our teacher in the classroom of life.

Have you learn?
